Workshop overviewIn this Level 2 workshop participants will build on the foundation created in Level 1. Level 2 study is designed to accommodate technicians with a minimum of one year of line design experience. Level 1 certification is recommended before entering the Level 2 program. After completion of this course, participants will be able to complete the layout and design of most overhead and underground projects, understand and utilize NESC and other design criteria, evaluate and design joint-use facilities, and calculate the mechanical loading effects of line design.

Use of advanced power system components. Students will be provided with a course guide to keep, and are required to bring the trigonometric functions calculator, protractor, and scale from Level 1, and a current copy of the NESC Code Book. A compass is also desirable to bring.
